Church Venue: Church of Santa Maria Assunta; located right in the center of Positano, in Flavio Gioia square.
Reception Venue: Grand Hotel Royal, Sorrento (http://www.royalsorrento.com/)
Plan for the day:
14.45 - We are asking all wedding guests who wish to avail of transport to and from the church to gather in the car park located across the road (Via Correale) from the Grand Hotel Royal at 2.45pm.
Mini-buses will then transport you on a scenic journey from Sorrento to Positano, which is on the other side of the peninsula. The journey is only 16 Km and will take between 25-40 minutes, depending on traffic.
16.00 - Wedding ceremony starts, hopefully bride walks down the aisle.
18.15 - After the wedding ceremony (and perhaps before if the traffic is ok), guests will have some time to have a wander around Positano (a great place for a coupe of photos and also a swim if you fancy it! The church is about 20 metres from the beach), before the mini-buses will return you over the hill, back to Sorrento. The mini-buses will leave Positano from the central square at approximately 6pm.
19.15 - Arrival at Grand Hotel Royal in Sorrento with reception drinks and starters from 19.30 on the hotel garden and terrace, overlooking the bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius.
21.00 - We move inside for the main courses.
00.00 - (optional) Move on to another venue (to be determined) for further revelry.
